Fruitful

This deliciously colorful arrangement was for a special event at the Pitti Palace in Florence, Italy.  The image is printed as a 24 x 36 gallery wrap and is available for immediate shipping.

It would make a stunning addition to any kitchen, dining room, or restaurant!

Illinois Memories

Can you guess what this is? Hint: University of Illinois alums know that she’ll be gone soon, and won’t be back for a year.

As many of you know, I’ve spent much of the last year photographing and organizing images for a special project with the Champaign-Urbana Symphony. This image did NOT get used, but it’s one of my favorites.  I’ve always looked for detail in the world around me, but this past year, I’ve combined THAT with a fascination  with color….and the element of surprise.   I LOVE taking things I see everyday, and putting a twist on them.  I LOVE making them colorful and unique, challenging the viewer to think about their source.  And yes, after years of being stuck in a rut, I LOVE the freedom I have to work on projects that make my soul soar!

Great Guesses!

Thanks for your guesses, but unfortunately, nobody hit the mark!  Here is the inspiration for last week’s post — the colorful playground equipment at the new Stephens Family YMCA in Champaign, IL!  LOVE the color, but especially LOVE the smiles on the faces of the kids and adults who are using the new facility!

What’s New?

December 14, 2011

C-U Symphony project is ready to hand off to Shatterglass for final production.  Larry Kanfer and I have been working on this project for five months, gathering images that will be shown on a huge screen above the symphony as they perform Pictures at an Exhibition at Krannert Center on February 24, 2012. Many, many thanks to Larry’s wife, Alaina, for her organizational help! She’s been an integral part of our production team!
